2008 Annual Conference

“Effective and Creative Strategies in Teaching Philippine History”

In line with the national celebration of History Week this year, the Philippine Historical Association (PHA) will hold its 2008 Annual Conference on Friday September 19, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the University of Santo Tomas (Student Center) Espana Boulevard, Manila on the theme ““Effective and Creative Strategies in Teaching Philippine History.”

In holding this conference, the PHA aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. to present effective and creative strategies in teaching history;
2. to motivate/inspire teachers of History, Social Studies, and Araling Panlipunan to become effective and creative teachers inside the classroom;
3. to further enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers in teaching History, Social Studies and Araling Panlipunan

The conference fee is Php 1,300.00 (paid pre-registration on or before 5 September 2008) and P1,500.00 (on-site payment) inclusive of registration, 2 snacks, 1 lunch, complimentary copy of Historical Bulletin, conference kit, certificate of participation.
